Simple and delicious: Toffee bars

These bars are extremely simple to make, but are a crowd pleaser. I'm making them to give out to co-workers and neighbors this year.

Ingredients:
  • Graham crackers
  • One cup butter
  • One cup brown sugar (I used light brown sugar)
  • 12 oz chocolate morsels (semi-sweet or milk)
Directions:
  • Line large baking sheet with aluminum foil. If you don't have a baking sheet with sides, use cake pans.
  • Melt the butter and brown sugar. Cook to boiling.
  • Pour mixture evenly over graham crackers and smooth out.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for five minutes.
  • Spread chocolate morsels over mixture. Smooth chocolate as it melts.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired. (I skipped this part)
  • Chill, then cut or break into pieces.
