Sweet Smokey Chicken legs

This is from the Taste of Home cookbook

I used chicken breasts, and did not bake in the oven.

I think this would also taste really great on the grill.

2 medium onions, sliced
3 pounds chicken legs
1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons hickory smoked salt
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard

Place onions in greased 13-in. x 9-in baking dish; arrange chicken in a single layer over onions. Sprinkle with salt.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over all, completely coating chicken.

Bake uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour or until juices run clear, basting several times.
